Prata Party at Punggol
On May 21 (Sunday), Punggol Family Service Centre under AMKFSC hosted a prata party at Edgedale Plains in Punggol, where they outreached to about 200 residents living in the area.
The event, which was sponsored by the Housing Development Board (HDB) and Global Indian International School, also saw the participation of community partners including Jules Venture, Mendaki, National Environment Agency, People's Association (Meridian RC), Playeum, Sian Chay Medical Institution and Singapore Police Force.
At just $2, event goers were provided with breakfast — two prata from a choice of three flavours — as well as opportunities to try their hands at the game stations. While the children enthusiastically enjoyed spin art, storytelling and tablet games by Playeum and Jules Venture, the seniors preferred the five-minute tuina session provided by Sian Chay Medical Institution.
But it was the lucky draw at the end of the event that had everyone on the edge of their seats. A few exciting rounds later, where we saw winners picked consecutive winners, five lucky participants walked home with supermarket vouchers.
