BASIC Student Care Services participates in the Singapore Community Games 2018

On May 13, 2018 (Sunday), 26 children from BASIC Student Care Centre (Cheng San) and BASIC Student Care Centre (Sengkang) made up four teams to participate in the Singapore Community Games (SCG) Football Competition, held at Our Tampines Hub. Minister Masagos Zulkifli, Minister for the Environment and Water Resources, and an MP for Tampinese GRC, graced the event as Guest-of-Honour.

The friendly matches commenced at 1pm, and each team from BASIC competed in at least one round against teams from other voluntary welfare organisations (VWOs). Accompanying AMKFSC staff members and parents cheered on and showed their support for the children from the side lines.

The Singapore Community Games is a multi-sport competition organised by the People’s Association. This year, as part of its sixth edition, donations were raised from 27 corporate sponsor, and would go to 15 VWOs, including AMKFSC.
