AMKFSC SAF Day Combined Rededication Ceremony
“The strength of the SAF today is a tribute and testament to the men and women of the SAF, including more than 1 million NS men who have done their duty year after year. Together, we have forged an SAF that is an advanced, modern fighting force and one that we can all be proud of to protect Singapore,” brought up by Chairman Prof Ang Seng Bin in the SAF Day 2019 message.
To commemorate SAF Day 2019, AMKFSC SAF Day Combined Rededication Ceremony was held on Monday, July 1 at Ang Mo Kio Community Centre. Led by CPT (NS) Jason Chee, our staff recited the SAF pledge and the singing of the national anthem. Besides gaining knowledge about some interesting information regarding the Navy culture, traditions and lingos, our staff played an exciting game known as the Morse code in their groups.
In the closing address of the ceremony, CEO Dr Vincent Ng stressed the importance of SAF day. He said, “Every year AMKFSC organises SAF day to remind us that our peace, security, safety and our way of life that we enjoy should not be taken for granted.”
Thank you to the organising committee for planning the fun-filled games and various educational talks to help our non-NSmen staff understand the importance of a strong SAF and Hometeam to protect Singapore’s sovereignty and our way of life. We look forward to continue building a cohesive community in Singapore!
