“It is an eye-opening experience for the children as they get to know more about Singapore’s culture and history,” brought up by Muhammad Nazri, a volunteer from Singapore Power.
We are all Master Powersavers! Themed around financial and energy saving, it was a fun day out for our children from Spright Academy Sengkang and Ang Mo Kio with volunteers from DBS and Singapore Power.
The outing was kicked off at the National Museum of Singapore with the Snake & Ladders Powersavers Edition, where the children played an exciting snake & ladders’ game alongside questions about the topic of saving energy, money and gas safety. “It was an enriching experience for both the children and volunteers! We were able to share some saving tips with the kids,” mentioned by Sarah Yeoh, a volunteer from DBS. The children then went around the Packaging Matters exhibition where they explored Singapore’s food packaging story from the early 20th century.
The highlight of the outing was the Bicentennial experience - a multimedia sensory experience that brings visitors back in time to witness key moments in Singapore’s transformation from as far back as 1299.
“The experience is nice and interesting. My grandfather was around during the war and he has not told me anything!” commented by Rosiah* at the Bicentennial experience.
Thank you DBS and SP for spreading joy and love to the children!
