Meaningful afternoon for COMNET Seniors
“During the sessions, I felt the high spirits of the seniors and it was contagious! To see that smile on their faces is priceless. Each face has a touching story behind them that made what Singapore today. It has been a very meaningful experience for me to be able to engage with them and learn more about old Singapore. I hope what we did help to bring some cheers to them and more young volunteers can participate in this meaningful event ,” mentioned by Doris Wong, a volunteer from Prudential.
On 20 August 2019 (Tuesday), we are glad that our seniors from COMNET Senior Service spent a wonderful afternoon with volunteers from Prudential Singapore as part of their Community Investment efforts to help promote social inclusion. Mr Wilf Blackburn, CEO of Prudential Singapore, was also present during the session. Prudential believes in giving back to the community and conducts these engagement and befriending sessions regularly with our seniors.
Besides touring around the Growing Up (1955-1965) and the Voices of Singapore (1975-1985) exhibit, our seniors got to learn about debossing and printmaking techniques as they interacted with the volunteers from Prudential.
Thank you Prudential for spending time with our seniors!
