Spright Academy Year-end Concert 2022
After facing two years of restrictions due to Covid-19, Spright Academy’s Year-End Concert finally returned to the stage once again Co-organised and led by Spright Academy’s passionate staff and students, it’s no surprise that the signature event came back this year with a big bang!
To kick things off on an inspiring note, our CEO Dr Vincent Ng gave an opening address where he highlighted the resilience of our young beneficiaries, who adapted quickly to the changing circumstances amid the easing of measures in 2022. In recognising this, Dr Ng also honoured everyone who journeyed with our students in enhancing their socio-emotional and academic development. As testament to this, he announced that all our Primary 6 students successfully passed their PSLE this year – a cause for celebration indeed!
In line with the theme of “This is Us: The Comeback”, the rest of the afternoon featured an exciting line up of performances by the students from Spright Academy’s Cheng San, Sengkang and Ang Mo Kio centres, where they showcased their personalities and talents after a year of growth. This included TikTok-inspired dances, thrilling performances (with a cartwheel or two!), and an epic lip sync battle that showcased the young performers’ creativity, humour, and undeniable confidence.
Rosiah Ibrahim, Principal of Spright Academy, then gave an address to thank volunteers, stakeholders, partners, and donors for helping us enable our students – especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds – to reach their fullest potential. To end off the event, our Chairman A/Prof Ang Seng Bin took to the stage to remind of the importance of holistic care: “Because the well-being of a child is not only derived from food, but is sustained by nurture and love.”
We would like to thank Glico for sponsoring our goodie bags and Uncle Raymond for treating our students with a surprise appearance at the event! We hope our dedicated supporters will continue to believe in our cause to help our students grow into well-developed citizens, and build a brighter future for themselves
