The KIDS 0-3 programme is a partnership between Temasek Cares, KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital and AMKFSC Community Services. The programme aims to give young children the best possible start, integrating needed health and community services for both the mother and child.
Doctors, social workers and other specialists come together to help the mother from the time she is pregnant to when the child is 3 years old. They look into all aspects of their care – good nutrition, vaccinations, pre-natal and post-natal support, early stimulation for the baby, family counseling, mental health of mother, etc
At present, KIDS 0-3 reaches out to more than 80 families and has expanded beyond Ang Mo Kio to support vulnerable families residing in Bishan and Toa Payoh.
Temasek Cares KIDS 0-3 also sees referral cases from community partners such as government agencies, health agencies, child development and education centres, voluntary welfare organisations, family service centres and neighbourhood organisations.
