About The Role
Nexus Reintegration Service provides a network of programmes and services to help ex-offenders reintegrate back into society. The service specialises in addictions and correctional work, and is aimed at increasing successful reintegration and reducing recidivism. As a Social Worker with Nexus Reintegration Service, your responsibilities include:
- Establishing rapport and building professional relationships with clients and their significant others (e.g. family, caregivers, etc.)
- Identifying and clarifying the key issues to the problem situation, gathering relevant information from clients and conducting needs and intake assessment to assess and identify severity, key risks and protective factors for intervention
- Evaluating the process as well as the outcomes objectively and recommending possible ways for future improvement
- Documenting and maintaining case files and preparing reports according to the required documentation standard
- Conducting closure of cases upon achieving sustainable service outcomes for clients, families and communities
- Engaging clients to sustain efforts in problem-solving
- Preparing group work reports and evaluations
- Responding to community issues through appropriate interventions
- Assisting in the implementation of programmes
- Assisting with company projects or report submissions, as assigned by supervisor
- Carrying out any other duties as assigned by HOD and supervisor
Candidate Requirements
Technical Competencies:
- Bachelor, Postgraduate Diploma and Master in Social Work
- Registered Social Worker preferred
Core Competencies:
- Proficient in oral and written communication, especially English
- Good interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Demonstrate sound and updated professional knowledge and skills in social work
Preferred achievements / characteristics:
- Good analytical skills
