About The Role
As a Social Worker within the Family Service Centre (FSC), you may be deployed across any of our 4 FSCs based in the Ang Mo Kio, Sengkang and Punggol regions. Your responsibilities include:
- Conducting triage and intake services for members of the community
- Providing casework and counselling interventions for individuals and families
- Planning and conducting group work to support the needs of beneficiaries
- Engaging in community work to build an ecosystem of assets and resources
- Engaging with and advocating for systems and stakeholders in the community
- Strategising and coordinating interventions to support beneficiaries
- Performing other duties assigned
Candidate Requirements
Technical Competencies:
- Degree in Social Work
- Competencies in casework, counselling, risk and crisis management, group work facilitation
- Competencies in working with various formal systems and conduct case conferences
- Good analytical skills
Core Competencies:
- Passion to work with children, youths and their families
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse population
- Strong communication abilities and good written and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to the Code of Social Work Practice standards
Preferred achievements / characteristics:

- Demonstrate sound and updated professional knowledge and skills in social work
- Relevant experience in working with individuals and families will be an advantage
